Here are some questions with the answers which are in client's mind and they ask frequently .

Q: What Operating system are your web servers running on?
A: Our web servers run on Red Hat Linux.
Q: I have Windows 95/98/2000 on my personal computer. Do I need to learn Linux to host my site?
A: The operating system of your computer does not come into play when deciding hosting options. The server is independent of your machine type. So we can host sites created with any platform! You do not need to know Linux to host with us.
Q; What are Web n Vision's Terms of Service?
A: The Acceptable User Policy is a guideline only, and not meant to be exhaustive. We do not allow any illegal activity including, but not limited to: pornography, links to pornographic web sites, spamming or illegal software. We do not allow any conduct that violates regulations, or normally accepted practices within the Internet community, whether or not expressly mentioned in this Policy.

Q: When you say annually, do you mean pay you all the money up front, or pay monthly for one year?
A: You must pay the full year up front.

DOMAINS:

Q: Can I access my domain address with or without the "www"?
A: Yes, you will be able to access the domain address with or without the "www" in front of the domain name.
Q: Do you host foreign domains?
A: Yes, we host all types of foreign and domestic domains.
Q: Do you have to have a domain name to sign up for a hosting plan?
A: Yes, all customers must have a domain name to get an account which already been added in our plans.
Q: Can I host a sub-domain with Web n Vision?
A: Absolutely, if you are hosting your primary domain name with us, you can set up sub-domains for your account through your hosting control panel.
Q: Can I host an existing domain with Web n Vision?
A: Yes. If you have an existing domain name you can absolutely host it with us. Information on how to host your domain with Web n Vision can be found here.
Q: How do I add my extra domain(s) to my account when I am ready to host them?
A: When you are ready to add your extra domain(s) to your account and begin hosting them simply Click Here and fill out the requested information on the form. Your existing account will be reviewed for qualification and your extra hosting account will be set up within 24-hours.
Q: I uploaded my site but I can't see it, why?
A: Most likely your domain name registration or modification has not propagated yet. Successful domain name registration or modification may take up to 48 hours to propagate. Enter your domain below to verify your name servers.

E-MAILS:

Q: What programs can be used to access e-mail?
A: All POP clients can be used: Eudora, Netscape mail, Outlook, etc. You can use any program which downloads the files from our server onto your computer. You can use mail user agents which run on our servers (such as pine), with a special configuration. You cannot use IMAP programs.
Q: What is an email alias and is it unlimited?
A: An e-mail alias means if you send mail to webmaster@webnvision.net, that address is aliased to whomever needs to receive it. It can be one person or multiple people, however you need it structured. It is unlimited--get as many as you need for no extra charge
Q: Is there a limit to how many email accounts can be forwarded?
A: No! The only limit is the quantity of email accounts your current plan has
Q: May I promote my web site with bulk email?
A:Spamming is in violation of our service agreement. There are legal and ethical issues involved in mass mailing of unsolicited email. Any user of our services who has sent unsolicited email will have their account closed within 24 hours.
Q: How can I manage my e-mail users (add/remove/update)?
A: To add or delete POP boxes, use Mail Manager http://www.yourdomain.com/menu. You can redirect mail by editing the address, un-forwarding to the POP box (which deletes it if that's the only reference to it) and forwarding to whatever email address you desire.
Q: Do the auto responders quote the message?
A: No, they do not.
Q: How do I set up Outlook to receive e-mails?
Follow these steps:
1. Open Outlook
2. Click on TOOLS > ACCOUNTS
3. Click ADD > MAIL
4. Enter your details including the mail name (account name) and password you created in the control panel for this mail account
5. Incoming mail (POP3) server: mail.your-name.com (replace "your-name.com" with your actual domain name)
6. Outgoing mail (SMTP) server: use your ISP's SMTP settings
7. Click on FINISH
Q: I get the following error when sending, why?
"The connection to the server has failed. Account 'your-name.com', Server 'your-name.com', Protocol SMTP, Port 25, Secure(SSL) No..." or "550 Relaying denied" Important: For security reasons Web n Vision.com does not allow outgoing SMTP mail service through our network any longer. Please follow the instructions below in order to send email through your POP mail client.
A: There could be 3 reasons for this:
1. Some ISPs do not allow private SMTP mail servers i.e. your-name.com by blocking port 25. To over come this, change your outgoing SMTP mail server in your e-mail program to your ISP's. (Example: Outgoing mail (SMTP): mail.your-isp.com).2. Some firewall software/hardware is known to degrade/block e-mail connection.
3. Double check your POP email client settings to insure that they are configured correctly to match the correct setting below.
Incoming Mail Server: mail.your-name.com
Outgoing Mail Server: mail.your-isp.com
Important: mail.your-isp.com refers to your Internet Service Provider. If you do not know what your ISP's outgoing SMTP mail server address is please contact your ISP.
If your ISP does not allow outgoing SMTP mail services you can download a FREE Windows based mail server software here FREE SMTP Server This software will allow you to turn your PC into a private mail server for sending outgoing email through a POP client like Outlook or Eudora.

Q: What information are required to prepare my web site?
A: Once your account has been provisioned, you will receive an email detailing step-by-step what’s needed to get your site going. Typical information includes any text (copy) that you want on your site, any images you wish displayed and any contact information necessary for your visitors to contact you. How ReadyWeb Works?
Q: How much time required to complete my website ?
A; Generally, sites built from our pre-designed layouts are completed within 5-8 business days. Graphic and flash sites take a couple of weeks.
Q: What do I need to do to update my site?
A: Site updates are handled by our web site coordinators either via email or direct phone calls to the web design team.
